GERMAN HELMETS H-119 M-16 WWI COMBAT HELMET – SNOW CAMO - This helmet retains a lot of its original paint, there are a couple of different shades of green with what looks like the remains of a white washing for snow camouflage. Has the 3 correct spit rivets. Helmet is marked “G 62” as to its size, there is an old leather chinstrap on it with 2 slider buckles which is not correct for this helmet. Has the model 31 leather combat liner, feels like the leather was treated with something at one time. The drawstring is a shoelace which also is incorrect. There is no liner band in it, the leather is glued to the helmet shell, the wool band is missing and has been replaced with something else, the interior dome is stamped with a letter and serial number…….$550 Photos H-087 M-15 GERMAN WWI CAMOUFLAGE COMBAT HELMET - This helmet has a very unusual defect in it that should have excluded it from combat use, one of its exterior lugs for the face shield is placed to far forward. A shield would never have fit on this one. A nice large sized one, inside of the neck guard it is marked "Q 66", has the leather liner band with three leather sections that make up the liner all have their padding, no drawstring with this one and a mouse has nibbled on the leather sections of the liner. I believe that this leather liner band and liner may have been produced post war and have been artificially aged, there are some flat type strings on the bags that glow under a black light. There is no chinstrap but it does have the metal ends for them still attached. This is one of the absolute camouflage classics, has the finger wide black liners with mustard, green and brown painted sections. Most of the camouflage paint still remains and it does show honest wear. All three split rivets are present and it does have the correct thick one at the rear. There appears to be some writing on the interior of the rear neck guard, this was done in pencil, looks like a name, a very nice example of a rare helmet........$550 Photos H-088 M-15 GERMAN WWI COMBAT HELMET - This is a larger sized one, shell is marked "55" on its interior. Probably has around 70% of it original green exterior paint remaining, there are no dents on it. Has the correct split rivets, rear one is thicker that the two front ones. The interior has a leather liner band, all three of the leather liner sections have their padding on the reverse of them. Five of the six tongues have damage to their ends where the drawstring goes through, there is no drawstring and the lather sections have been treated with something to help preserver the leather. It looks like the original owner scratched some writing into the interior of the rear neck guard, there is no chinstrap but the lugs for them are still there. A solid example of an early German WWI combat helmet in pretty good condition.......$550 Photos
H-120 M-40 ARMY SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET – This is one of the nicest M-40 Army helmets that I have encountered. The Army Eagle decal is probably in the neighborhood of 99.9% there! This is just an outstanding decal in every regard, the silver is very nicely textured and reflective. This one has a textured subdued green paint which is probably about all there, this helmet was well taken care of. Another great thing about this one is its big size, it is a “66” with a well marked “59” liner. The liner is in good condition and it has its drawstring, the leather is still a nice color, it is a bit dry to the touch. The tongue that has the size stamping on it has a very small piece ripped off of it, take a look at the photos, not really that much of a determent. On the inside of the shell on the left side it is stamped “NS66”, on the rear neck guard on the inside of it is stamped with “DN 44”. There is no chinstrap with this one and the chinstraps “D” rings have the rounded corners. Liner bands are in good and tight, they do not appear to ever having been removed. At the interior seam of the rolled edge there is just a slight amount of rust starting, this could be taken care of with ease. Looks like there was something written on the liner at the rear, just can not make out what it is. I suppose you could find a better example of a M-40 WWII German Army combat helmet but I’ll bet you will have a very hard time doing it……$1,300 Photos
H-117 M-42 ARMY HELMET – There is no decal on this one and it does not look like there ever was one. Has an original chinstrap on it which is complete and RBN numbered. The interior of the rear neck guard is stamped with “4823” and above that “CKL 66”, nice to have a larger sized shell. The leather liner is there but not in very good condition, the leather has been treated at one time. Has a drawstring which is a shoe lace and not original. I feel that the liner was replaced sometime in the past as it just does not seem to fit as snugly as it should in my opinion. The paint on this one looks like it was camouflaged at one time as there are a couple deferent shades of green paint……..$625 Photos
H-118 M-42 LUFTWAFFE SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET – This is a very fine example which hardly shows much use at all and has never been dinked with, everything appears original to this helmet. Has a wonderful 2nd model Luftwaffe eagle decal which is extremely close to being 100% there, it has been applied over the sand textured finish. Most of the paint is there, just some slight surface scratching. The chinstrap is in super condition, the outside is dyed black and the other side of it is a nice reddish colored leather. It is maker marked “D. REICHEL”, there is a stamping below that which I really can not make completely out although the very end of the stamping you can see “44”, has a very nice thick leather chinstrap. Beautiful pig skin liner which is in just about perfect condition, has the original drawstring, does not look like this helmet spent much time on anyone’s head. On the reverse of the liner it is ink stamped “B”, “58”, and “59”. The left side interior of the neck guard is marked “ET 64”, on the interior dome of this helmet you can see an oval shaped ink stamping, very seldom do you see that anymore which makes this a rare helmet. There are no dints or cracks to the shell, and the rear neck guard has a serial number stamped into it…ON HOLD SALE PENDING…..$1,300 Photos
H-112 M-40 LUFTWAFFE HELMET STAND - This stand is made out of wood and has a gray felt covering on it, there is a black plastic engraved name plate on it. There is also a removable peg at the top, this is there to go in between the liners drawstring.......$15 Photo HELMET LINER SIZE CONVERSIONS
